After leaving school, Tom studied IT as an apprentice for a website design and new media company before spending five years working in Further Education. In 2007 Tom left London to study BA (Hons) English and Creative Writing, completing it in 2010 before bossing his MA Professional Writing at the same institute.

Now back where it all started, Tom writes copy, maintains websites and manages social networks for a number of clients and is currently working on the second draft of his debut novel, a collection of stories for children and a non-fiction book. His interests include social realism, science-fiction, comedy, Hip Hop and digital media and he has experience of writing screenplays for the web, radio sketch comedy and drama, as well as writing for children.

Tom also updates a humorously cynical blog on the taxonomy of life in twenty-first century Britain as often as he can and writes for review site Music Liberation.

An avid Crystal Palace fan, Tom can also be found in the lower tier of the Holmesdale Road end of Selhurst Park during football season.
